Sonali Rajan

Dr. Sonali Rajan is Professor in the Department of Health Studies & Applied Educational Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. She also holds a secondary faculty appointment in the Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health and is also Co-Director of the Columbia Center for Injury Science and Prevention. From 2025-2026 she served as the Senior Director of Research at Everytown for Gun Safety and from 2022-2024 served as the Founding President of the Research Society for the Prevention of Firearm-Related Harms. Dr. Rajan is a school violence prevention expert, studying gun violence, school safety, and adverse childhood experiences.
