CPRC is pleased to host a grants workshop for Columbia scholars new to submitting NIH research proposals. By convening scholars who have been successful at obtaining NIH funding and by giving an overview of NIH funding mechanisms and opportunities, we hope to demystify the grant preparation process. In this introductory session, we will
• discuss how grants are important to career development,
• introduce NIH mechanisms and deadlines,
• explore the basics for writing a grant proposal, and
• plan follow-up sessions.
What will you get out of it? Attendees will get a light breakfast, camaraderie with a growing network of colleagues who will provide grant preparation support, and constructive dialogue around grant writing. We hope you will join us!
